ALBUM: 1(A) EMERGES (No label) 1974
NB: (1) counterfeited on vinyl in 1991 and later on CD. Also of interest is Re-Emerges (Void 20) 2001, an album containing re-recorded and new material.
A mysterious duo from Youngstown, Ohio produced this sole LP. Despite the ridiculous prices that the original fetches along with a plethora of superlatives from dealers eager for "mega-bucks", this is one LP that justifies the hype. A mixed-bag of seventies "psych" to be sure, but it's a wonderfully atmospheric LP that veers from folk-acoustics through acid and heavy rock and everywhere in between with fluid acidic and often over-the-top manic guitar.
Compilation coverage has so far included: Rock & Roll Puzzle and Thanitos on Kicks & Chicks - Original 1960s Acid Punk (LP) and R & R Puzzle on Reverberation IV (CD).
