Dustygroove.com: “Freaky psych from around the globe -- bits from France, Spain, Brazil, and beyond -- and some great home-grown ditties from the US as well! The overall concept of this one's a bit hard to peg -- despite some very helpful notes, which also offer information on all the artists -- but we're fine with that, because the track selection is excellent -- and really goes for unusual sounds we'd never have a chance to hear otherwise! Lots of these tunes have a garagey undercurrent, but do plenty of weird things with the instrumentation and production -- abstracting familiar elements nicely -- making mutants out of more mainstream musical modes in the process.”
