Ode to Quetzalcoatl. D-24 700320. 1972?
Well, most of what i know i learned from the back cover of this lp: heavy drug user Dave Bixby freaks out, asks Christ to save him and lo & behold, he is born again! The down side being that it still seems like something is gnawing at him; the mood of this lp is bleak as hell, even when he's trying to be "uplifting". Some nice echo effects on the guitar & vocals remind me of Jandek & this definitely has the same kind of loner feel. I don't own this lp (it's a rare private press lp); I got a CD copy from my old boss, who was a bit of a novice at ripping from vinyl...these mp3s have been considerably cleaned up. If there's any problem with the encoding, let me know.
