This is where Scott notched up the gears and turned out a truly stunning work of (godlike!) genius, it just really is that good. Moreover, this is where the self penned works far out number the covers -three Brel numbers at that, all at the end of the LP -and what superb compositions they are, from the stunning and simmering It's Raining Today to the wrenching Two Weeks Since You've Gone, it's all worth it's weight in gold. And where else would you get a song about an old ageing and abandoned transexual (Big Louise), and have it sound so heartbreaking? A truly unmissable album.
