Overlooked late 60s UK psychedelia from Tuesday's Children -- a group who later morphed into prog rockers Czar, but who sound plenty sweet and jangly here on these earlier sides! The collection brings together singles the group recorded for a variety of different majors from 1966 to 1969 -- often in a style that has some echoes of bigger late 60s UK groups, like The Hollies -- and which carries some undercurrent of the new American sincerity that was bubbling up from the LA scene at the time. Instrumentation is usually pretty basic, but the vocals have a great quality that fills the sound of the songs strongly on their own -- harmonically pitched, and often a bit sunny. Titles include "Strange Light From The East", "That'll Be The Day", "Guess I'm Losing You", "High On A Hill", "In The Valley Of The Shadow Of Love", "Mr Kipling", "Baby I Need You", "Ritual Fire Dance", "Bright Eyed Apples", and "She".
