A much more contemporary record than her previous releases, Living shows Judy Collins stretching out, although at times she could be said to be stretching a little too far. Living contains her versions of Ian Tyson's "Four Strong Winds," Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat" and Joni Mitchell's "Chelsea Morning." However, as with her version of Bob Dylan's "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues," it also shows that while she interprets songs well, not all songs fit well into the Collins style.
