Putting the acid in Acid Jazz, welcome to THE TOTALLY WEIRD series

Sugarlumps. A Psychedelic Selection Of Groovy Movers And Sweet FreakBeat.

      Out Now

“ IT’S ONE OF THE MOST BRILLIANTLY CONSISTENT COMPILATION ALBUMS I’VE HEARD IN YEARS-EVERY TRACK A MINOR CLASSIC IN IT’S OWN RIGHT. A SLICE OF PURE DISTILLED ESSENCE OF 1967”. TOM ROBINSON: BBC6 MUSIC.

“Soul Hooligan…admirably comes across as the missing link between Hawkwind and the Who”

“The biggest surprise is finding Rod Stewart and The Faces

“You’d have to go an awfully long way to trump the garage guru Groovy Ruben” Q Magazine

      “ 4 out of 5, a great album” Mojo

Featuring rare psychedelic classics (some released here for the first time!!) With appearances from Rod Stewart, Art Wood and Andy Ellison, alongside some of the new movers and groovers currently sporting a paisley shirt. So whether you're spinning like a whirling dervish or chilling from a psych fright night……………… Have a good trip.

      Soul Hooligan , Space Travel.

One of the brightest stars from the Blow-up a Go Go compilation, later to release through Madonna's Maverick Label.

Now playing guitars backwards on this Garage Psychedelia Power Pop dancer.

The Factory Path Through The Forest.

Despite the countless Bootlegs, if you can track down this original 45 then you'll be at least £500 lighter.

Originally called Sexton Blake’s Souvenir Badge Factory, Ian Oates, Bill Macleod and Jack Brand’s re-working of a rough piano demo is a classic. We are proud to include here the first official release of the Factory since 1968.

How did we manage this? Because we’re friends of the Drummer, Bill.

Andy Lewis & Andy Ellison, Heather Lane.

Andy Ellison was part of infamous 60's outfit JOHNS CHILDREN, which featured the late great Marc Bolan on guitar and Hells Angel roadies. Andy Lewis (a key DJ from the club Blow Up and bassist in SPEARMINT) is an influential artist and producer in his own right. This collaborative masterpiece shows off both their talents in one big psychedelic purple orgasm.

      The Argonauts, Ten Feet Tall.

Despite the hectic 60's schedule of Barry Tashian’s own band THE REMAINS, he still had time to produce this previously unreleased treat. THE ARGONAUTS were the first group to play The Carousel (Ma). They also appeared at many CYO dances including The Boston Beanery. Organ Player Doug Yule would later go on to play for VELVET UNDERGROUND. Bassist Russell Marcus joined Eden's Children in 1968. A LOST GARAGE NUGGET!

Groovy Ruben, The Woeful Tale Of Shakes Magoo.

Based on a true story, this cautionary tale of pop party excess should send a shiver down the spines of all aspiring rock crooners. Formerly known as Groovy Ruben and The Top Secrets the self proclaimed Garage Guru specialised in poignant poetic Psych whimsy.

      Grantchester Meadow, Candlelight.

Found within a box within a box. Scrawled upon the label of a reel of EMI Tape. The Holy Grail for the Psych collector, Amber Limited ABR.004.Dripping with mellotron and euphoric in its arrangement, this fantastically rare track has a musical folklore attached to it as rich as its fanfare chorus. Believed to be the work of a certain Pink faced musician, we are pleased to return this tune from the dark side.

      Jarvis Humby, These Eyes.

The only new British band to be invited to play at the biggest and best gig in the world ever, LITTLE STEVENS INTERNATIONAL UNDERGROUND GARAGE FESTIVAL on Randals Island, NYC on 14-8- 2004. With Iggy Pop, The New York Dolls, The Electric Prunes, The Chocolate Watch Band, The Pretty Things, The Creation, The Strokes and 40 great Garage bands was ...JARVIS HUMBY.

Quiet Melon, Early Roller Engine 4444.

After THE SMALL FACES and THE ARTWOODS, just before THE FACES settled on its line-up. A strangely beautiful and drunken collaboration occurred between RONNY WOOD, KENNY JONES, RONNY LANE, IAN McCLAGEN, ROD STEWART and ART WOOD. They managed to record this previously unreleased take of a song about God knows what.

The Standing 8 Counts, The Size Of It.

From Brisbane Australia, The 8 Counts specialised in huge Phil Spector sized garage

floor shaker. This track finds them in an unusually groovy moment yet the colossal

Guitar wizardry of SWEET WILLY Fowles can still wake the dead.

Also featuring The Noel Gilpin Emporium , Smashing Time & Templar.,Delta 72 and Evergreen.

      Also available ...Sugarlumps 2

Soul Hooligan...admirably comes across as the missing link between Hawkwind and the Who

The biggest surprise is finding Rod Stewart and The Faces.

You'd have to go an awfully long way to trump the garage guru Groovy Ruben.

      Recomended.
