WITCHCRAFT - DESTROYS MINDS AND REAPS SOULS - Coven (1969) (Mercury 61239)
Album Credits: Jim Nyeholt Organ, Piano Coven Main Performer "Oz" Osborne Bass Mal Davis Engineer Jinx Dawson Vocals Jim Donlinger Guitar
Jim Donlinger wrote most of the songs, arranged them, played guitar, and sang backup. The group featured Mike "Oz" Osbourne, formerly with UK act the Magic Lanterns. He is not Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath, although some dealers mention it on their lists.
A heavy rock outfit from Indiana notable for the screaming vocals of Jinx Dawson. They released at least three albums. Produced by Bill Traut , their first one attempted to mix psych rock with Black Mass "liturgy." The album came with a nice gatefold cover with lyrics and several pictures of the "ceremony".
