A legendary release from this Spanish group for which record collectors once paid four-figure sums.
Happily this is not a work to lock up in a safe or file away though. Dedicated to Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth of Gong , The Book of Am is perhaps the most psychedelic release ever to have emerged from Spain (Deja, mallorca in fact)
in the mid-70s. Delicate as a ballerina turning on a rice paper leaf , Indidan
instruments to the fore, utterly beautiful.
The Wah Wah reissue from 2006 combined their only album with the unreleased
Book of Am Part Two.
A strong rumour persists that the band has reformed and Part 3 is in the making.
